5. Replace your toothbrush regularly.
As a toothbrush becomes worn, it becomes less effective which can lead to plaque build up. Replace before the bristles become worn looking. Most electric and other toothbrushes have a strip to indicate when it is time to change your toothbrush.
6. Clean your tongue.
Use a tongue cleaner daily to remove harmful bacteria that live there. It will also help you prevent halitosis, or bad breath.
7. Stop smoking.
Smoking is very bad for your teeth, weakening and staining them. To prevent this, it is recommended that you stop smoking.
8. Protect your worn teeth.
